Sex Estimation Using Ulna in a Thai Population

Sex estimation from fragmentary bone remain is still challenge for forensic pathologist. Ulna has been reported useful sex by metric analysis. This study generated function fragment and complete of ulnar in a Thai population. The was 200 pairs bone, others 20 pair were used test the accuracy functions. Olecranon width best single variable predicting proximal part ulna, which right olecranon could be classified 90.5 %. While distal end ulna part, left with 83.0 Stepwise discriminant analysis applied to part. For 4 measurements selected (inferior-medial trochlear notch length, width, olecranon-coronoid process maximum width), while side, superior chosen, their functions predicted 91.0 % 90.0 %, respectively.
